My son will be three on Monday and we are having a party for him on Sunday. We using the movie "Cars" as the theme as he has a fascination with Mater and Lightening McQueen. Does anyone have any suggestions for games or party favors?

walmart, toys-r-us, and perhaps target should have tonza stuff for that theme!!! but, if you choose the less exspensive, more creative route, you could also make your own, or check out websites for printouts and ideas... it'd be cute to have some variation of a "pin-the-tale" game, like pin the wheel, lightening bolt, or hook on ___ (either mcqueen or mater). you could even hold a toy car race to see who's got the fastest wheels. and the dollar tree stores will have toy "matchbox" sized cars -cheap!!! you also cant go wrong w/ "generic" party favors, even if they are not in the exact theme, like: lollipops, bubbles, crayons and tiny coloring books, etc... pinatas are fun and rather easy to make, and the lil fella could even help out w/ it, unless you purchase one, and many come already filled.(but, once again, the dollar tree will have big ol' bags of candy!) keep in mind, this is a 3 yr old's party, so there isnt much need to elaborate in the entertainment field... esp if it's held at a park or outside, they arent likely to stay focused on any one thing for long, and once the toys are opened, they will be busy w/ them... good luck, and happy day to the lucky lil guy!!

You should go to www.birthdayexpress.com. I know the party is on Sunday and you don't have time to order anything , but you could go there to get ideas for party favors, they have every theme under the sun for kid parties. And I'm sure they have the theme cars.

Being one of the popular movies this year all the party shops have favors and such in them with this theme. Also you could check Dollar Stores, they often have packs of matchbox type cars. Look for small items like that and have a Pinata stuffed with this kind of stuff and not just candy. We did that for my nephew's birthday and it was a huge hit. Good luck!

Make cookies shaped into cars.Get boxes and with a lil' creativity you can make race cars for your son and his friends.Ofcourse have the kids watch the movie "cars".For party favors give candy and little toy cars from the dollar store if they aren't a choking hazzard.

Red light, Green Light. That's a good game that little ones can play. Hit the dollar store for party favors, cheap dinky cars, pretend keys, racing paraphernalia...

if he is into firetrucks you can call your local fire department and ask them to come out to your house, they will be happy to. My nephew is having one come to his party tomorrow. Its free too. you just give them a time and if they dont get a call out for emergency they will come to the party for a bit. Cool.
