I just put up some window film 3 days ago. It has made about 3 degrees difference which will help with the elec. bill. Caulking around windows will help in the summer and winter. Trees around the house makes it a little cooler, insulation do it one room at a time just do it, it will save so much money and keep the house cooler too. wear light colored loose clothing (cotton). Drink plenty of fluids Gatorade, water etc.

We actually had a break in the heat today in Missouri, yesterday it was 103 and today the high was 75. You know what Mark Twain said about Missouri weather? "If you don't like the weather, wait an hour" LOL Anyway, to keep cool, just soak your feet in cold water, adding ice as the water warms up. Keep drinking ice water and think WINTER..... cool thoughts sending your way... :)

I put up thermal shades on every window in my house, and I also have small fan on the floors. ( plus ceiling fans going at the same time) It was 105 where I live today, but my thermostat stays at 77-78, and it;s really bearable compared to outside.
