There is no such thing as honor killing of Muslim woman. We are treated very well, thank you. The people who do it are ignorant tribes men that have no knowledge of true Islam. What they do is NOY religious practice; it is ignorant and barbaric culture.

In fact before Islam came about, ignorant people used to think girls were bad luck and would bury them alive underground after birth. It's painful and sad to even type this.

When Prophet Muhammed got appointed by Allah as Messenger of God, that was one of the first things that become forbidden (Haraam). Females gained much respect, dignity, and protection as Islam unfolded into the nations.

So again, I stress that there is no such thing as honour killings of Muslim women (or men, for that matter) at all what-so-ever in Islam.

TRUE Islam is NOT barbaric and torturous. It's an easy and peaceful religion. Nothing what the media portrays it as....

This is simply out of ignorance.

Depending on what the situation of the honor killing is, different people do this to "defend their honor" but the killing of any person unjustly is a great sin in Islam.

If a woman has truly committed a great sin, there are Islamic punishments (for both the man and the woman.) HOWEVER, there are so many restrictions on these, that these punishments are very hard to carry out unless they are specifically as the Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us. And Allah is All-Merciful, He never wishes to punish us - it is like a last resort - but the fact that these extreme punishments must be carried out in the case that there is enough evidence, then it's a lesson for others to not repeat that mistake - these crimes are those that are generally bad for the whole community.

Anyhoo, back to the point - these "honor killings" are not a part of Islam, they are just cultural and take place in Muslim countries.
