baby talk is usually reserved for people who are in a close/ initimate relationship - usually between a man and a woman - so either she can nor relate to men on an adult level or she may think it is cute but I would bring it up with her

it sounds like she might still think of herself as a little girl around father-figures - maybe she is uncomfortable declaring her adulthood? whatever the case, i would talk to her about it.
