A sheep is not a consenting adult. They cannot enter into contracts - which, in the eyes of the law, is what a marriage is.
A better question is, why do we grant special privileges to people just because they're having sex with each other? Some people might be sharing resources and decision making and want to gain access to the same legal conveniences without being seen as 'an item.' Where are their rights?
Or, if you're serious about arguing against gay marriage (and not just being a fatuous putz) try this: If two men can get married, why not three? Any argument used in favor of the former can be applied to the latter. Try that one and watch people stutter in complete flummoxation.
