Price really isnt a concern and I was wondering if two of these amps and two of these subs, when placed into a home build calculated box would kick hard?

two

Rockford Punch 1800W Class BD Mono Amplifier with Variable Crossovers
Model: P600.1BD

and two

Alpine 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer
Model: SWR-1242D

I haev a 600w max amp made by rockford that I am going to use to power two 6x9s in teh back... Uber power to them, so my deck will just be powering my 5.25's in the front which I am going to replace eventually with alpines... I'd like to go mostly alpine speaker, and rockford amp on this project. My deck is a sony, and its imense, brand new, and it kicks so much ***...

HAHAHAHA YOU RUN TYPE - E????? THAT MADE ME LAUGH

I ran Type-X until they got jacked. Type-R will hit hard as hell though and they are made for clearity. You've got yourself an awesome setup there.

That set-up should work just fine. Just be careful not to turn the gain on the 6x9 amplifier up to high - you'll just end up destroying them. Also, when you construct the subwoofer enclosure, be absolutely certain that the enclosure is airtight with NO leaks. Depending on the vehicle it is going in to, you typically want to aim the subwoofers toward the rear of the vehicle to achieve the best sound possible.

So you're going for what: a "boom-fuzz" distorted sound....or a loud, yet crisp clear sound? The latter is indeed a challenge to stereophiles....but I've seen AND heard it done.

The trick there is getting just the right stereo parts....and putting them in just the exact right place.

"Boom-fuzz" is easy: just hash out stuff together and stir; the sound's so jaded and overdone by posers: I say let the "bling/bling" guys think that sound is soooo cool.
