I also tend to have feelings and whatnot, they're usually right as well. I'm not calling myself psychic or anything. I'm just saying it happens. Anyone else out there have that happen?

I'm a Christian. I tell people my dreams and feelings, and they laugh at me like I'm stupid. But I'm telling you, it's like a gift or something. Is there any way to hone it or make it stronger?

I'm not talking about predictable future things. Like I had a dream one time my coworker fell down and got hurt real bad. Few days later, she falls down right in front of me and permanently damages her shoulder.
July of last year, I crossed the Mississppi river, and for no reason at all I started freaking out. I spent a whole week with my nerves frazzled, feeling really scared, for no reason at all.

I get that a lot too actually. I'll describe one instance of this that sticks out most in my mind. I'll try to summarize as best I can.
Back in fifth grade I had a dream that I was in a school classroom that I had never seen before. The room was empty except for me and a few other girls. One of the girls was really tall, blonde, and attractive, but I had never seen her before. The teacher was a middle-aged guy, and I had never seen him before either. The girl in my dream was in the front of the classroom laughing about something. That was pretty much it. It was only a couple seconds long, but it stuck in my mind.
Six years later, I was a junior in high school, and the dream I had had many years earlier literally played out right in front of me. The girl, the girl's actions, the teacher, the classroom... It couldn't have been more exact.
The classroom in my dream? It was my high school pre-calc class. That school building didn't even EXIST at the time.
The teacher in my dream? He was a substitute teacher... not even our real one.
The fact that there were only a couple other people in the room? It was a field trip day. Normally that classroom was full.
The girl in my dream? Blonde, tall, attractive. Exact.
The fact that the girl was laughing? At that moment we were having a discussion about the girl's comment that she wanted to enlarge her breasts someday, and the teacher made some wise*** comment about it. That was why she was laughing.
Everything just fit into place. My seating location in the room, the colors of the room, all the circumstances were totally exact. I've tried to tell this to people before and they insist that I'm either lying or something, but I'm absolutely not. It was ridiculously creepy. I'm not trying to claim that I have some sort of psychic ability either, but I have no idea how my mind could've predicted that entire moment, down to the detail, six years earlier.

Yeah, I've had these types of dreams too. Sometimes I remember them right away, and other times some random thing will trigger the memory of the dream then days weeks even months later it comes true. Mine are not usually important in and of themselves, although a few have been. Most of mine are things that happen in close proximity to other events that are important to me. In addition to dreams, I also get feelings and the feeling that I've done something before as I'm doing that thing. It's not de ja vu, de ja vu isn't this strong and it's not accompanied by the same feelings I get when I have an experience. It's hard to explain this to people who have not had these types of dreams and feelings. I've been laughed at as well. I feel like this is a gift from God. I don't think I'm psychic or a prophet or anything like that, but I do feel the Holy Spirit very strongly when I have these experiences. I'm glad you asked this question, and to read that so many other people have the same type of dreams and feelings as I do.

Sometimes. But it is really a gift! Use it to help yourself and others! I am not sure why it happens but maybe it has something to do with being in sinc with what is going on around you. Just a guess really!
It seems most likely to me that the dreams are a combination of two things.
1, as you have already pointed out, partly made up out of hope, and what they desire the future to be
and 2, it will also be largely influenced by what the brain actually predicts will happen. The brain is organised and functions in such a way that 'prediction' is a major function of it. Not prediction like psychics and atrologers claim to have access to, but predictions like predicting the flight path of a ball, predictions of how safe various actions are, predicitons of whether certain things are worth the effort, and more importantly than anything, predictions of how someone might react to one of our approaches/questions/accusations etc.
We are species who are irremovably stuck in a social setting, and being able to predict the reactions of other people is probably the most important thing we have available to us.
Now, that the brain should be able to dream up a possible future encounter with someone and 'guess' at what might happen is a very reasonable thing to occur.

My mom's had dreams like that, too. And, I tend to have feelings like that every now and then. Of course, I'm not sure if my mom get's those feelings, but I know I haven't actually had any dreams that have come true (well, not literally). I won't call myself or my mom psychic, either. But, it's possible that you may have a bit of psychic abilities or something.

Oooh...that happens to my sister alot! I tell her all the time not to dream about me. I think some people are just more open to things of that nature. It's a cool gift, even if it freaks her out sometimes.

I've experienced this also. (Not a Christian) There is a view of reality that holds that all things are happening simultaneously, that linear time is an illusion which allows comprehension. (In God's time everything everywhere is connected.) There are allowances for these types of experiences in modern theoretical physics, as well as in mystical views of reality. Not especially uncommon.

It has happened to me several times. I'm not psychic either, but it can get scary, and it's never good things either.

I have that too. I have had that since I was a small child. I thought it was really annoying when I was younger but now it isn't so bad.
