I don't know why, but whenever I go to that state the drinking water is just horrible!

The entire state is one giant chunk of limestone, so all the ground water has a high mineral content. Even water softeners can't get it all out. A lot of residents wash and maybe cook with the local water, but they drink bottled water.

Central Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky water is good. Western Ky's not good. Go to Pennsylvania and it is horrible, even just to brush your teeth. A lot of places have well water and well water is not treated because they are private. If you have a well it is recommended to have it tested annually.
Sometimes tap water has been overly treated and the chemicals and whatever else they do it leaves a funky taste. It also depends on the source of water.
Many people by bottled water but little do they know....It's just purified tap water. Look at a bottle of Dasani or Aquafina. The water doesn't come from a spring. More than likely it came from the tap and has been run through purification filters.
Also, if the public tap water isn't safe then why does the EPA allow you to drink it. Water treatment center are constantly monitoring and testing the water supply.

Tap water where I come from tastes WAY better than bottled water. Then again, my taps are connected to a natural artesian well at the foot of a hill covered in tens of thousands of sugar maples. It's been producing a steady stream of ice cold water since as long as anyone can remember.

Yes, when I would visit my Aunt she always bought spring water and said never drink the water . I think it stank when you would shower too.If you read the water bottle it will tell if it is purified or real spring water.

i dont know what ur talking about. tap water is always nasty. no matter where you go. and i live in FL so i resent that.
