Just because a woman stays with a man who beats her doesn't mean she likes it. It is scary and hard to get away. Some of you people are so upsetting. Not to mention the racists ones with something to say about everyone except the superior white male. Get over yourself. Grow a brain. Grow up. America is horrible because of people like you. You have nothing better to do than bash on something or someone you know nothing about.

I don't know what your question is, but I gather you know someone who has learned to tolerate and/or accept a certain level of abuse. I would encourage your friend to get counseling and get out of that relationship as soon as possible. Her life may depend on it. She will never, never, be happy in this type of relationship. It is unhealthy on so many different levels. I don't know her, but everyone is entitled to at least a chance to be happy. I hope your friend will find the strength to do what she must. In my opinion, she will need the support and understanding of a good friend, and equally importantly, some professional counseling.

Why is this question in the immigration section, even? If your husband is beating you, get the **** out of the house, and call the cops. Go to the neighbors, go to Cincinnati, but get OUT. Of the HOUSE. And don't go BACK. Like, ever. And stuff. A man's typically stronger than a woman, and a man that beats his wife doesn't deserve to have one.
But again, this has little to do with immigration, and more to do with stupidity.

Yes it is scary to get away but not as scary as staying in an abusive relationship. If America is so horrible how come so many people are trying to come here legally and illegally? It must be that it is the best place to live. Get over yourself because you're not getting one over me.
