Hives also known as urticaria is characterised by itchy and inflamed red weals that appear on the body:
The condition is usually caused by an allergic reaction, physical irritation or stress.
The body begins to release histamines into the skin and the skin reacts by swelling and becoming red and itchy.
The red weals can disappear within minutes or hours but the irritation and itchiness can last for a couple of days or even weeks.
Allergic responses to certain stimuli can cause the histamine release in the body. These allergens are numerous and varied. A sensitivity to certain foods such as:

eggs
dairy products
shellfish
tomatoes
can sometimes cause the body to react.

Other triggers include:

pesticides
soaps
detergents
certain chemicals
Viral and bacterial infections or antibiotics such as penicillin can also induce hives.

Your body changes... things you were not allegic to in your past you can now have reactions with. Be cafeful with lotions, fabic softeners, detergents, soaps, starches... anythig that touches you skin. Try not to scratch and pay attenion to what you did right before the rash occurs. If it contuniues... you may need to go to the doc, dont you hate that response. I know fo me, I never had signs of it when i was younger but the climate here in Ga has caused me to have eczema. Ive had it for the last 6 years consistantly.

I just went to the Dr about mine. It was either a heat rash or an allergic reaction to something in my pool. I got some cream to put on 3X's a day, some antihistamine, and some steriods to take. Mine showed up on my arms, under my arms, under my breasts, and my upper legs. It went away in two days once I went to the dr and got meds.

no matter what it is this will help and is good for your skin. go to wal-mart buy a gallon jug of Apple Cider Vinegar for $3.00 shower, dry off get a wash cloth no water and wash your whole body down with pure vinegar, the smell will fade as it dries. The bumps and itching will stop and you will have the softest skin you ever had

It is probably a case of hives. Those are pretty much the symptoms they'll appear like crazy and then all of a sudden fade away. You should see a doctor in order to get treatment!
