I have Hep C. My husband has it and never let me know. It almost ruined my marriage. Hep C is only transferred by blood. Like using the same razor or toothbrush etc.. Most people that have Hep C and don't even Know it. It can take up to 20yrs before any symptoms appear. And 80% of people never show any signs or symptoms
The symptoms are fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, jaundice, abdominal pain and dark urine. and it attacks the liver
I don't feel any different yet. except for the fatigue. Everyone is different and you should be seeing a Dr. every six months for blood tests, to have your levels checked. There is medications that can help. but most cause depression. It's between you and your Dr. to decide what is best for you.

I do.
About seven years ago, I moved to a new city, became quite poor, and couldn't find a job. I thought my problem was depression. (Seemed reasonable!) But the anti-depressants didn't help, and I couldn't afford a doc. I sent one of my kids to live elsewhere, because I couldn't seem to rouse myself to take care of him. I'm just trying to show you how deep the fatigue was. I couldn't even fill out the papers and make an appointment to try to get on welfare. I didn't have the energy. I couldn't walk a block without sitting down (on the sidewalk, if necessary) half way through.
The day after I sent my son away, my eyes turned yellow. (Oh, I had been noticing for a few weeks that my urine was darker, too.) Then I realized it was my liver!
It was Hep C, and I was like that for about 6 months. I couldn't go out for groceries without it leaving me so tired that I had to stay in bed all the next day. No treatment was offered.
I just sort of got better over the six months, and at the end of that time I got a job and have had no symptoms ever since. I've had some other medical problems recently, and now that I seem do be done with the treatment for those, I may look into Hep C therapy, though I don't know if they offer it this far out from diagnosis. (My liver function tests are normal.)
Basically, except for those six months and having to be very careful about my blood, it has hardly affected my life at all. There have been a couple of prospective sexual partners who ran screaming, but I might have too, before I knew how unlikely it is to be transmitted sexually.
By the way, any behavior I engaged in that put me at risk happened at *least* 25 years prior to the diagnosis, so either I caught it in some way I can't figure out, or it took that long to make me sick.

Many people with hepatitis C don't have symptoms.
However, some people with hepatitis C feel like they have the flu.
So, you might
feel tired
feel sick to your stomach
have a fever
not want to eat
have stomach pain
have diarrhea
Some people have
dark yellow urine
light-colored stools
yellowish eyes and skin
If you have symptoms or think you might have hepatitis C, go to a doctor
Many people with chronic hepatitis C have no symptoms of liver disease. If symptoms are present, they are usually mild, nonspecific, and intermittent. They may include
fatigue
mild right-upper-quadrant discomfort or tenderness ("liver pain")
nausea
