Yes. Allergies to anything can happen at any time. But becoming allergic needn't mean getting rid of your dog. There are wonderful medications out there and regularly rinsing your dog can help keep the allergy causing dander down.

Yes, this happened to me as i entered puberty..Before I wasnt allergic to anything, then I was allergic to dogs, cats, and got hayfever every spring. Now that Im an adult, Im not allergic to dogs anymore, but Im more allergic to cats. Allergies are wierd like that.
