But seriously this old world of ours has been around for a reeeeeeeaaallllllllllllyyy long time. I'd say it's gonna last a really long time too. Of course humanity may blow itself into the next century but the world will survive. And don't worry about the end of times revelations mark of the beast etc. those thoughts pop up every so often when things are crappy. Also if it were the end there ain't much you or I can do about it so live life have fun and don't get caught.

Well, it maybe the end of the world for humans and living organisms, but I doubt the earth will not exist altogether.
I don't think what's going on has any relation to the end of the world, if you look at the past, there have been several larger, and less civil wars, hunger, and disease, what's changed is the way we deal with it.
You're looking at this out of perspective because you were not alive when there was no sanitation, no indoor plumbing, and no real justic system.
I believe that the world will be going down hill within the next century, and not because of war, but because of the way we treat our planet.
We live in an age with so much education, yet very few are actually willing to make a difference.

Yes the game is coming to a completion, the spirit being that has animated the earth for over 4.5 billion years has an expiration date of 12-21-2012, you won't be able to know this unless your are connected to the spirit realm, but ancient mayans where and give info regarding the end. Most would prefer to think that the d ate means we will be transformed in some fashion or the religions believe it is the end too for reason that actually misdirect the truth, but I'm a realist and feel it is over, but the true self of course lives to play for ever. The world will end in what is called a wild card event before the date of 2012 all life must be extinguished before then. Expect 1 or more events to occur (alien invasion,asteroid,underground volcanoe in yellow stone set to erupt at anytime will be a 1000 times that of mt. st. helen or world war 3 where we nuke ourselves) I have seen recently on tv a show called dooms day and they are saying and depicting the exact same thing I'm saying here, which surprised me, I get my info from advanced spiritual literature. but I guess we will know very soon, you can actually feel it, this can't go on forever anyway. Everything pysical must die, so enjoy while you can.

The earth goes though natural processes in which climatic changes come and goes . Supposely we are now in the latter part of the last ice age(warming trend). However the dangers lie in that humans might be rushing us into another golbal warming trend so fast that if the ice melts too fast we could force another quick ice age. The global ocean currents control our weather and if cooled too fast by melting ice they could make most of the world uninhabital.
If the warming trend continues fast enough to melt all the ice
but lasts centuries we could well be in for some 120 year around temperatures withing 50 years. If it continues as it is today that is a big possibility.

There's no way to tell... one well-placed volcano or asteroid could end it all tonight.

In the NT, Jesus said a few things, but much of it was obtuse, as in Mt 24:6-8. He talked about wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famine, etc. But he said "the end is still to come...these are the beginnings of birth pangs..."

But as in a birth, labor could be short, or prolonged. So there is no way to know for certain. Just remember this handy phrase:

JESUS IS COMING BACK - LOOK BUSY

On the other hand, the end of the world may be imminent, but somehow the world never comes to an end before you have that homework assignment or paper finished...

The appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air for the church (the body of Christ) is a mystery and there is no prophecy that need to be fulfilled for that to happen. To be part of that body all you have to do is believe and trust in the fact that He died for your sins. 1 Corinthians 15: 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, The second coming of the Lord to judge and make war is the a prophecy event and will happen and will happen seven years after the church is gone. Matthew 24: 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

They have been saying the end is near for 2000 years, and i suspect they will for another 2000. All those fools who are screaming to repent because it is happening in 2 years are really gonna look stupid when its just the same-old same-old. Nothing new is happening, now, though, the press is just sensationalizing it.

a person lives average 90yrs so you got plenty of time. The world is still young but the people who live in this world is like a plague or virus multiplying consuming, wasting, etc. So, even a young planet can get pretty sick too.
