no i think.it is not ordinary wood.most of the chinese chopsticks are plastic.

yes, add 1 lit match. LOL. I suppose if one rubbed them together fast enough, they might generate enough heat to ignite something like paper or wood kindling of some sort- did you ever see the movie castaway or the animated madagascar?

I like my food hot enough to start its' own fire, like Singapore mei fun with lots of curry and ground red pepper.
