Graet band and very deep and spiritual if you see it that way. Question is, have you ever heard " On the turning away" and related to it spiritually?

When I hear "On the Turning Away", it makes me think more of third world countries. But, now that you mention it, I'll have to have another listen.
To me "Learning to Fly" is spiritual. No matter what song it is, it will certainly set your mind to wandering.

On the turning away could only be considered a crappy song because it is written by Pink Floyd. Compared to their canon of work, it is merely mediocre when compared to the song "Wish you were here", aka the meaning of life in under 5 minutes. The album "The Wall", is a once in a lifetime magnum opus that will probably never have a rival - it is the Muhammad Ali of rock, a work that transcends its medium, and has something important to say to us about life.
But i must admit, it was moving when I heard it the first three time. "Wish you were here" blows me away ever time, going on 27 years since I first heard it.
BTW, I'm a Muslim, and that hasn't stopped me from appreciating good music.

Yes I heard it.. I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan. I think perhaps the writer had his spirituality in mind when he wrote the song but as for me I don't find it strikes any deep spiritual chords in me.

I never equated Pink Floyd with spirituality because I was "comfortably numb". Cheers!
