It is true. Most of the replies here are really said to make fun of the hindu religion as the last answerer says.

Why ask a question of this nature when you know that the rest of the world has no concept of how hinduism works? Especially when you are a hindu? That is when people will ridicule you because of their own insecurities.

It does not matter what anyone says. Whether there is one god or milliions, it is the problem of the hindu.

I cannot believe in Islam. It is the most degrading religion and yet over a billion follow it fanatically.

Hindus have never tried to proselytise and by answering this question, we would be trying to convert people to our way of believing which I am not in agreement with.

It is this very concept of misunderstanding that led to the British calling the hindus pagans.

Hinduism is nothing like the other religions. There is nothing that we have in common except some morality situations and even that are rare.

Stealing is wrong but there is thievery in religions. Look at the christian and islamic world.

These are just points which are human nature and not religion.

Therefore, how can one explain the concept of one god or 330,000,000 to people who have no idea how hinduism works.

Also how can anyone believe in Ganesha, the Lord who has the face of an elephant? Without worshipping him, a man with an elephant head, a hindu will not start on any auspicious journey, whether in personal life or business.

I will not make any recommendations towards understanding hinduism. Hindus are born into it and therefore it is their right to believe in it.

But the rest of the world does not have to and hindus will not try to proselytise you into believing.

There are enough disastrous situations as examples when others have tried to force their way into hinduism It is scary.

Let us not do the same thing as everyone else is doing.

Why did you ask this question? To get Hinduism to be insulted by other people? Your name shows that you are a Hindu, every Hindu is supposed to know that there is only one God and these 330,000,000 gods are different manifestations of the same God. They are necessary for Human Beings to feel God, because God is a very unexplainable, invisble thing. So, don't bother about how the Hindu heaven can hold 330,000,000 gods because there is only one. Even according to Hindu mythology there are about 33 Devas, each of them can come in10 million forms. It's nothing but a symbolic representation of divinity.

Hinduism is a pagan humanistic religion created by man in direct disobedience to God and his existence. God gave the Moses the Ten Commandments to instruct the Hebrews not follow after other gods.

God is Lord. He with the other two spirits of the holy trinity created the world. God does not need mankind for anything, we need God for everything!!!
