What is a good shampoo to use on dogs and cats? I don't want to use a flea shampoo, just a plain shampoo to bath them. They have mange mites, but I am treating them with ivermectin and I don't like using the sulfur dip or flea shampoos. So, I just need a good shampoo that I can bath frequently, as the flea shampoos are too toxic on them.

Dawn dish soap is the best for killing fleas and ticks, it may help with the mites. you really do need a animal shampoo though since their skin is very irritated from the mites. Get an oatmeal shampoo for dogs and cats. The person who mentioned the chlorhexiderm, I use that too on my dog with skin allergies and that is the best stuff.

Petgold is the best shampoo I've found for a very reasonable price. It leaves my pets smelling great too.

There is a special shampoo for cats and dogs that are just natural. I think is SFP or BshampooFpets

My vet told me that dish washing liquid is the best thing to wash pets in, even more gentle on their skin and fleas hate it!

I like using cedar shampoo that I pick up at WalMart. It smells good and leaves their fur silky and smooth.

I use Dove shampoo and conditioner, you should be able to brush the dog easier too. and it is gentle on the skin.

Use something that contain Australian Tree tea oil. It's great for their skin and fur and fleas hate it.

Any oatmeal shampoo is good. It helps make sooth itchiness!
