First off, the new vaccine only protects you from HPV. HPV has been known to cause cervical cancer. However, getting the vaccine does not make you immune to getting cervical cancer. It just means that the chance of developing cervical cancer through the HPV are reduced. Cancer is a complex disease and there are many things that can cause the body to develop cancer.

There is constant research being done to find the cure for ovarian cancer. There is no root cause for the disease (unlike cervical cancer which is mainly linked HPV) so it will take more time to develop a cure.

I had ovarian cancer 20 years ago. I took experimental chemo and was able to have a child with only 1/2 of a functioning ovary. I hope that the cure is soon so other women will not have to go through what I did. I am proud of the fact that I'm one of the rare survivors.

Many cancer cures have already been found. It's been hushed up though. The medical industry needs money so such cures may never come.
