When I was there in April there was a lot of construction, so drive slowly. I think when you're going to the airport from I-85 you take exit 72, when leaving the airport just follow the signs. Also be sure to check for Northbound vs. Southbound.

If going Southbound, it will first say I-285, which forms a "beltway" around Atlanta, then say I-85 towards Montgomery.

Speed limits in Atlanta seem a bit higher than for around other airports that I've been to, so be prepared to go the speed limit if there is light to moderate traffic and read the overhead signs (even if you have to slow down because there's a truck ahead of you!!!).

Hope that Helps.
