Never ever cut your hair just because someone else wants you to .You have to want it.If your tired of it and unsure cut it but if your not sure dont do alot.also remember layers are nice but its alot of work at home because you cant just ponytail it or pull it back as easly as one length hair.

Shaggy skater-boy style! It's not as long as the pony tail but the it still has the long length. I don't think the ponytail for guys is in style anyways. If you don't like your haircut, its okay because luckily hair can grow! Try something new...go with the cut.

I suggest you experiment with different styles, or flick through magazines and look for a haircut that will suit you! Or you could dye it a darker color. If you have black hair, try putting some streaks in it! Stay pretty for your bf.

* How to Pick the Perfect Haircut for Your Personality and Face Shape *

Your hair is your crown, so it should be treated like a crown and make you feel like royalty. A good hair day needs a good haircut and good haircuts are made with more than just scissors and gel. The two most noticeable things about you would definitely be your face and your personality (unless of course you have 3 arms or something) so you should definitely take these things in account when choosing your hairstyle.

Firstly, it’s not enough to just see a style you like on someone else because it’s really not gonna look the exactly same way on you. This is mainly because everyone has their own face shape, facial features and personality.

Steps
Know your face shape.
- Oval: is a little bit of everything, so you can pull off anything. Go with personality and facial feature strengths to pick out your style
- Long: bangs, layers, curls and waves are very important here since they balance off a long face with width. Try to keep an average length if possible. Too short and too long will make a long face seem longer.
- Round: Go for sleek lines and tapered ends. Anything with bulk will make a round face look fat. Pixie cuts are great as are wild tousled styles.
- Square: Soften up the sharpness of an angular jaw with curls and waves. Sleek lines also go well here but keep it below the jaw line. Avoid chin-length hair.
- Heart shape: The pointy chin can be balanced out if the hairstyle is more concentrated on the top half of the face using fringes or bangs that end at your eyes or cheek bones.
Pick out your favourite facial feature. Wherever the bangs or layers that frame your face end, they will accentuate the inline facial feature.

Understand your personality. If you enjoy taking your time styling your hair and messing around with it go for longer lengths but if you’re more tomboyish go for the super short cuts, it wont get in your eyes and requires less maintenance time. If you’re a little bit of both stick to a length that reaches just past your shoulders which can be worn comfortably in a pony tail or styled for an elegant look.

Tips
If your hairstyle and personality don’t gel (excuse the pun) it will be uncomfortable and irritating, which will in the end make you look bad.
The best hairstyle is one that can look great without you having to hold it down, fluff it up and run to the ladies room to comb it through all the time.

Well for one, don't do it just because your girlfriend wants you to. But if you're open to cutting your hair, you can't go wrong with just a normal, clean short cut...if you want to do something more drastic later you can. I'd get over the shock of loosing the ponytail first.

the main question is what do you want?? Dp you want to cut it ? If you cut if for her and you dont like it, you will be fighting until either it grows to a length you like or you break up. I am not sure if you are male or female. same thing applies to both genders. I would say cut it if you want it cut and not have a ponytail any longer. its your hair and your happieness that counts the most!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should only cut your pony tail off if its what you want to do. It is a big change and you have to do it for yourself. Maybe try taking a few inched off at a time and decided along the way what cut would look best for you.

Don't be so drastic... Maybe opt for a hairstyle that ends at the nape. Go for layers (it may sound girly but it's a cool 'do!), but it also depends on your hair type.

Cutting your hair may be a great experience. You "might" find that you like it shorter, then again, you "might" not.

Regardless. . .You should cut your hair because YOU want to.
