You will know your baby is ready to come when your water breaks and you start having contractions. Contractions feel like pressure in your abs and lower back then radiate down your legs.
Probably what you feel is the babies head pushing down in your pelvic area. Sometimes I could feel my baby actually turn it's head. It's a crazy feeling.
If you are in doubt, call your doctor.
Good luck.

If the baby has truly turned and started it's journey down your vagina, you would be in labor and your vagina would be dilated. If you think the baby has started coming, call your doctor immediately - my sister-in-law had her baby at 6 months and never even went into labor. The baby was only 3 lbs and needed immediate medical attention. Don't mess around - if you really think the baby is coming call your doctor.

Your baby wont start preparing for birth until about 8 1/2 months...then from there it could be a month to weeks..
the babys head has to rupture your membranes(water) thats when labor starts.

No, the baby will not move into your vagina until you are well in labor.
