very few younger people have probably ever seen him but, Rin Tin Tin. He was a German Shepherd imported from Germany's working lines and was VERY popular duing the first part of the 20th century. I'm only 24 and have only learned of him in the last year. He was the original version of German Shepherds though: Grey and Tan.

The three-legged ones that always appear in Ken Loach films (to symbolise a kind of tragic no-hope situation where you just keep going regardless).. I like those dogs, they mean more than Lassie.

Charlie. He is sweet and he is well trained and 100% potty trained. He knows alot of tricks. His #1 trick is beg. He acts like he is dead and then opens one eye if I am looking. Well, he isn't on tv. but he is on one of my favorite shows of all.
