If you are afraid to be alone you may suffer from an Anxiety Disorder. If you feel a sense of dread or terror about the possibility of being alone that could be it.
You should really discuss your symptons with a family physcian and see what they suggest.

seems like that's not a rare situation when you're young and, pretty much naturally, insecure. i would recommend doing those activities which boosted and balanced my energy, and thus my courage: eat properly, exercise diligently, and try doing some meditation and breathing type practices. these will help with the anxiety. check out the book* the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom*. it will explain to you the role your own mind plays in this, and also provide some meditation, etc exercises for you. also, check out www.sahajayoga.com for some interesting info and energy support. and, of course, google meditation, as well as taichi, to get some additional ideas. good luck!
