Bars and restaurants should be able to decide on their own whether or not they will be a smoking or non-smoking establishment. Those who smoke will go to the smoking places, those who don't will go to the non-smoking establishments. Good old American ingenuity/capitalism should decide.

No they shouldn't, cause it make others sick that do not smoke. I cannot stand having to try to hold my breath cause of someone smoking and then I smell funky because of them.

Smokers should only smoke in smoker designated areas and they should be charge for each time the violate that....even when they litter a bud.

If an area is labeled for smokers...do not have an non-smoker area nearby....unless some device is there to get rid of the odor.

no because some people have health problems but they should have an enclosed area for one or the other they say you cant smoke in a restaursnt but where i live the just started allowing liquor buy the drink sales in restaurants so you can go sit down and drink then go out and drive but you cant sit down and smoke a cigarette whats more dangerous also they tell us we have to wear a seat belt but motorcycle drivers dont even have to wear a helmet how unfair is that or i mean how stupid is that

I smoke and I have no problem with designated smoking areas. I actually think they are a good idea. That way smokers can enjoy their cigarettes, cigars and pipes without being harassed by nonsmokers and putting up with ugly looks and fake coughs.

No....smoking is just too much of a health hazard....besides not everyone would use common sense in regards to where they smoke...so I guess laws are probably a good thing.

Smoking is abnormal...breating air is normal. People should be able to breath air that has not been chemically altered by poisonous smoke.

No. Smoking is a decision that you can make for yourself, but you can't make it for me. Stick to the areas designated for smoking.

We have been sold a bill of goods by the tobacco companies. It is no good to smoke.
Yet we have been bombarded by advertising for decades to buy their product so they could get rich and we could die.

smoking needs to be socially unacceptable first, then made illegal second.

It's bad.

Absolutely not!, and we should ban all motor vehicles too as they do not have the right to polute my lungs with their filthy poisonous exhaust gases making me smell all 'funky' and making me cough etc, thats far worse than second hand smoking.
