There are tons of books and tapes and seminars and classes you can read and listen to and attend.

The only way they will work is if you put forth continuous, conscious effort and learn new, effective ways of communicating that begin with listening. Then getting your thoughts together before you speak and being concise so you don't lose people in wordiness. Those are basics.

Good luck!

I see alot of people that need to ask this question!
The best way I have personally found to help out with communication skills is working for a telemarketing company. Work there for 3-6 months, and when you leave I promise you will be very happy on the ways you have benefited from the experience. Telemarketing is the best place for those who's looking to go into business for themselves.
