In other worlds someone explain from a Biblical point of view how we can tell that Islam is anti-christ?

They obviously refuse to believe the death of Christ has any relation to eternal life...so that's their first fallacy.

jeeeez. why do they have to be wrong just because they believe something other than you do? How closed minded can you get?

have you ever read the Koran? i did a few years back, just to see what all the fuss is about and to understand (admittedly an outsider's perspective) the real nuts and bolts of the faith.

through the text and through some wonderful conversations with muslim friends, i found it based on love, respect for other people, and personal integrity. some of it is pure poetry, as are certain bible passages. just like some of Christianity's tenets, Islam can be twisted, spun and manipulated to incite zealots to violence. You have no historical perspective whatsoever if you think Christianity is lillywhite in this regard. Fear is a powerful weapon and both faiths have used it liberally to further their goals. It is a human weapon. It has little to do with the divine.

quit trying to convince anyone that they're "wrong". could you be convinced that the faith to which you've clung since birth is wrong? the traditions you love, the rituals you need both spiritually and culturally? of course you couldn't. and no one should try to.

when will we all realize that we choose our religious and spiritual metaphors? ... whether it's a culture we're born into or we find it, clumsily, ourselves through a responsible search for truth and meaning. we choose what works, what makes sense to both our hearts and minds. if it doesn't make sense to us, we don't tend to stick around for much of it. we find a belief system that works.

that's what any religion is, a metaphor. it seems the height of arrogance to assume one is necessarily better, or more true, than any other.

for the record, i'm a unitarian universalist (and a former catholic). i've been all over the world seeking truth.

I don't believe that Islam is inherently evil. I have read quite a bit of the Koran and noticed that Jesus and Mary (his mother) are mentioned and praised many times. I do believe that those who would kill innocent and not so innocent people for some sort of jihad have got their messages really mixed up. Instead of trying to label other groups and religions we should probably focus on our own relationships with Christ and not worry so much about whether someone else is right or wrong. I have always believed in making a friend, being a friend and bringing a friend to Christ.

Silence can be deafening. I was once sharing about Jesus with two guys who were from Iran. After I had explained that King David and prophets in the old testament spoke about Jesus who was to come, one of them asked me,"why don't you believe in Muhammad?" to which I answered,"I would but the Bible does not ever mention anything about him. These same guys had heard that Jesus was made out to be "the son of God" so they asked me,"does Jesus ever admit to being the son of God in the Bible?". I opened my bible and showed them where Jesus admitted to Pontius Pilot that He was the son of God. To those people who are told that the Bible was changed to make Jesus out to be the son of God, it has to be noted that when asked specifically where those so called changed were made or by who, there is never a real answer given. That is because the Bible is the most reliable document in history bar none. It has been preserved and verified by early copies from the time it was written and by later copies found as in the Dead Sea Scrolls. About 99% of all bible translations are derived from 4 texts and so it is known what the Bible should say. A fraud can be detected easily. Islam does not not deny that Jesus came in the flesh. Antichrist actually refers to someone who denies that Jesus did come in the flesh (1John 4:1-3). The Koran itself states that if someone doubts the scriptures (the bible) that were written before (Muhammad) that they should ask those who read the scriptures before and be not a "waverer" (doubter) see Surat Yonus (Jonah)10:94. Please note that the bible has all along stated in the old and new testaments that God has a son. In the 1940's The Dead Sea Scrolls were found in Israel and they date about 2,000 years back. The scrolls contain an entire copy of the Book of Isaiah which states that God would give a child born as a "son" who would be called "Mighty God" confirming the integrigty of that text. the scrolls also contained portions of every old testament book except for maybe the book of Esther. The real sistuation is that the views of the Koran have altered from the previous Biblical record as a revision of those facts, literal and historical. Check it out-it will take a little time of course.

I don't believe that they are...and a picture of the moon doesn't mean they worship the moon god Every muslim denies worshipping the moon! The vatican has a sun on it.
God made a greater light to rule the day and a lesser light to rule the night, remember? The SAME God. Why don't you go to bible.com and do a search for moon and see all the great things the bible has to say about it. And how they used it to determine time and feasts and such. Deuteronomy 33:13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 14And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. 35Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. 36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. 37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven
And according to the scriptures I've read here all other religions are satanic. Muslims do acknowledge that Jesus was a prophet (more than we can say for the Jews, gods chosen ones, who believe he was a false prophet warned about ahead of time) so get over yourself, mr high and mighty. And if we know them by there works, Israel has killed far more people. People like you make me so mad!! all for death and suffering, may your soul pay the price to receive redemption. The only way to atone for murder is by your own murder
Genesis 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man
Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.
It's too bad you don't trust God to fight your battles, Maybe he would if they would stop fighting back and forth, but now, both are of equal blame. And what about Jesus saying if man strike you on the cheek, turn him the other cheek. (not in those exact words) How about trying to be like him? And I'm not gonna go find it for you but the bible also says the only way to atone murder to the land is by your own blood.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.

Matthew 24:23 Then if someone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will be raised up, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you in advance. 26 Therefore if they should say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes out from the east and flashes to the west, so shall also be the coming of the Son of Man.

From a Christian biblical point of view....

"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!" (Gal. 1:8-9, NIV).

Hope that helps

u can't cuz it's not true. thnx 4 making that point though. We believe that Isa/Jesus was a prophet and not God's son, which is y the Bible and the Quran are so similar. No offense, but the ppl who changed the Bible 2 wut it is now didn't want 2 show that they knew the real revelation of Isa, so they got rid of the parts about Islam's prophets and the prophecy of a last prophet (Muhammad). So even if the Bible was true (no offense, it's just that the translations have been changed so much and there's no original copy), it wouldn't have stuff about Muslims being evil.

Dude.
DUDE!
You are so off base, I don't know where to start. Don't listen to me, though. Read what a Christian has to say about this at :
www.jesusthemuslim.com
And catch the episode of the TV show "30 Days" where Dave Stacy from Virginia goes to live with Muslims for , you guessed it, 30 days.

I don't care about Islam's inter-religious standing, but it's definitely anti-freedom and anti-human . . . what with practitioners blowing themselves up among infidels and all.
