I cannot get the answer I need where I an located. A healthy diet requires to drink 8 glasses of water per day. I am retired and over an 18 hour day I drink +- 10 cans of beer. I know alchohol is a dehydrant but do these cans of beer substitute for 8 glasses of water?

No, you obviously don't understand what a dehydrant means, it means that it takes water out of your body (so you actually have to drink more thank eight glasses a day with how much alcohol you consume) ps. it's eight 8oz. glasses a day (64oz. total).

It's just like if you were on an island in the middle of an ocean you would die of dehydration if you tried just surviving off of the water in the ocean because it's so salty it's just like alcohol, a dehydrant. It's also like when you eat celery, it's actually negative calories so you could always be eating and starve.

You have to drink water, you cannot drink beer. And if you are wondering why you are not dead (because you are obviously not consuming your 64oz. + of water a day) it's because food has water in it too, so do many other beverages, just not alcohol.

Lastly, I've got a question for you, can you really not get the answer you need where you live, or the answer you want? I'm guessing it's the latter.
