same thing happened to me...well i have natural red tints but when i dye my hair it only looks red. the only thing you can do is go to a salon and get ur hair stripped and redyed. it will cost some money but thats the only way i no.

I have the same problem. My hair is slowly going back yo its natural dity blonde becuae I did this: Wash your hair with gain once a week. I know. Thats ounds gross. but it really works. It will strip the tint out slowly but it will also strip the moisture out so use lost of conditioner. Or you could mix pure baking soda with your shampoo that also works. I got all these tips from my hairdresser, believe me. They work!

You need to get your hair stripped and re-dyed the color you want. Go to a professional salon (not Hair Cuttery) and do not do this yourself at home.

My girlfriend had red natural highlights and in order to dye her hair blonde, her stylist had to strip her hair color and dye it blonde. Her hair looks great now!

Of course, you can always go Sinead O'Connor and get a buzz cut. lol.

if it was a dye you used, you can use what is called hair color remover, it will take out the hair color you put in, I have not used this product, but it is for this purpose. hope it helps

Cut it short and use brown semi permanent color on it every 4 to 6 weeks.

Use a color with Ash in it, it will mute the red tones.

I agree with andrew though, don't dye your hair back and forth too often, it's going to damage your hair.

go to a salon and let them do it correctly so it doesn't get dry and brittle

YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO KEEP DIEING IT UNTILL YOU GET IT MAKE TO NORMAL, JUST NOT A LOT AT ONE TIME OR ALL YOUR HAIR WILL BREAK AND FALL OUT. OR UNTILL IT GROWS OUT. I HAVE GOLDEN BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS AND I KINDA LIKE THEM BUT THEN I LOOK WEIRD AND I DONT WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL WITH IT BUT I JUST DECIDED TO LET IT GROW OUT AND GET IT DONE BETTER NEXT TIME SO I DONT MAKE MY HAIR FALL OUT.

Try not to dye back to your original colour it is quite harmful to your hair. Try to wait for 2 months for your hair to grow back and then dye it. Or else it will leak into your scull, which was what my mom did. And then her hair went dead.

Additional Information:
Each hair grows 0.5 cm each week.
