It does freeze; it just has a lower freezing point than pure water depending on the amount of alcohol in it. For example, if you had a bottle of wine with 12.5% alcohol content, it would freeze at about -6 degrees Celsius, 21 degrees Fahrenheit.

It does freeze, but it depends on the content of alcohol. There are different temps for freezing. It's NOT the same as water.

Tossing a bottle of grain in the freezer doesn't mean it will become a solid. Your freezer isn't cold enough.

Alcohol has a lower freezing point than water, so it would have to get significantly cold to get it to freeze. Any ice you see in alcohol is the water portion of it.

The alcohol.... A friend was stationed in Alaska, and he said that they would get court-martialed if they were discovered on guard duty with alcohol-- not because of drinking on the job, but as a deterrent from drinking sub-zero cold alcohol, which was still liquid, but which could cause internal frostbite!
