Ok, I asked the question "when exercising, is it good to work through "the burn" or rest a few seconds and then continue after "the burn" is gone". I should have added more details. I climb the stairs where i work and at about the 8th floor im starting to feel it. At that point I work 4 floors at a time, then rest about 10-20 seconds before continuing, until I reach 28. I have increased the amount of stairs I climb from 28 floors to 42 floors (I climb the first 14 floors, go back to the first floor, then climb to 28, then back down). I do this monday through friday and it takes about 20 mins. I rest on saturday and sunday. Ok, is it a good thing that I rest every 4 floors for 10-20 seconds to let "the burn" die down a bit?

I should have added these details earlier and saved myself an extra post (and sore fingers. lol).

Whoa good job! This is excellent, and dedication I must say! You're doing a great job, yep resting in between like this is perfect. If you didn't I doubt that you could go much further. You can take the burn just for so long. Good job.
Consider this, limiting these foods and just having them once a week: cheeses (only mozzarella) sodas (just several diet a day), fast foods, fried foods, sugary treats. Discipline your eating 6 days a week and give yourself one free day a week to eat whatever you want.
If you combine the exercise with the food thing, you'll lose weight, especially by cutting out these things. The exercise and food thing go together. Good job!

Yes ....it is very important to rest....your body needs the oxygen...and so does your heart and brain...rember they all work together...when you start to feel the burn...part of this is the muscle is needing oxygen...your heart is pumping...and your brain is needing oxygen also...thats how you get lite headed...so yes you need rest to keep the blood and oxygen going to muscles that you are working out....as for me i do better falling down the stairs...lol...good job...
