Use coupons. Get rice and pasta and beans at the ethnic stores, they are cheaper there. Go where the stuff is cheaper and has the stuff you need on sale. Watch for double or triple coupon days at stores. Trade coupons with friends to get more coupons that you need. Buy store brand stuff when you need too. Get your fresh fruits and vegetables at the local stands or farmers market. Buy stuff that is damaged but still good, like the can that fell off the shelf and has a ding in the side. Buy meat that is going to be outdated in a day or two with coupons and lower prices on it then stick it in the freezer for later use.

But what's on sale, use coupons & the grocery store value card.
Buy lots of fresh produce (fruits & veggies) at local farmers market. Place like Target & Walmart are great for cereal, beverages, snacks, pre-packaged products...

Buy off brands. Buy things when they are on sale to stock up. Make a grocery list and only buy what is on the list. Don't buy any junk food items. Clip coupons.

Use coupons, and wait for things you use to be on sale, and once they are, buy enough to hold you over until you think theyll be on sale again. Shop around for deals in the flyers. Buy generic products instead of the big name brands you pay more just because of the names.

start your own food buying club, you get a few friends together and get food at wholesale prices. The difference is terrific on fresh produce. You can save a lot of money or just buy better food.

buy snacks at dollar stores - buy bread at bread stores, they are day old, but just as good and you can freeze it. Buy veggies at farmers market, and other things at Walmart and use coupons. Walmart also honors all other stores sale items. Make a list before you go with what is on sale at other stores.
