You could try a shampoo with tea tree oil in it to help with the smell but you may be one of those millions of people with oily hair. Paul Mitchell has a great Tea tree shampoo and a few styling products. If you overdo the styling-straightening products you may experience oily hair also. Good luck!

well 1st of all i think its b/c u steraighten ur hair a lot. i use to be exactly da same as u. n now my hair smells sooo GOOD!!!get TreSemme for dried har, shampoo, n conditioner. Condition n shampoo every other day. However do deep condition once a week. n what i do is i put in conditioner, n then rub it in for like 2-3 mins, like it says on the bottle. n then dont rinse out ur hair. instead get a towel, n go watch a movie. after dat, go rinse it out n I PROMISE ur hair will feel soft n pretty right there n then. The most u can leave it in is overnight. try it n w/b to tell me if it works k. o n if ur gonna straighten ur hair a lot, het that anti-heat spray from TreSemme to....its pretty cheap, n not expensive.

i've been using SAMY shampoo and conditioner (red bottle) for about two weeks now, and I am constantly getting compliments on how good it smells. My husband goes crazy for it, my dentist made a comment, even a guy in line behind me at a store said something. Don't know if they have a version for oily hair, but check it out.

your hair is just really oily, and theres nothing wrong with that. wash you hair for 2 minutes in the shower twice a day everyday. if the oil and smell keep up, and you think its unnatural, go toa salon and tell them what the deal is with you hair.good luck.

You would have to change your routine for that. You weren't asking for routine suggestions so I'll just leave you with a website in case you're interested. http://longhaircommunity.com
