Have any of the old "beatnik" style bars and coffee shops survived in NYC?

My Son is an actor and writer there and he always asks me what I would like to see when I visit. I think I would like to see Greenich Village,(I probably did not spell it correctly, sorry).

not to worry about spelling anymore, it goes by 'the Village" now. the only bar that is still around and that you may recognize is MacSorley's. still dusty, with cobwebs. cheap burgers and draft beer still being served by old and moody waiters. with the only difference that women are now allowed.

My favorite place is the Holiday Lounge on St. Marks Place.

Cheap drinks and no hipsters.
