I have a 9 week old kitten. Today, I brought home a 6 week kitten. The older one chases the younger one and she cries a little when he bites her. Is this normal play? If not, will it ever end?

It's normal thier both kittens, though all three of my full grown cats 9-4 all fight still sometimes playing but mostly fighting over territory they sometimes get nasty and I have to step in, but still nothing to worry about really they'll be fine.

it is not lots that your cat's are male that they are actually not getting alongside, granted they are going to be territorial, yet i think of it particularly is quite often as a results of vast age hollow. a 12 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous cat is previous, probable not very lively, and nicely..different previous issues. the place as your youthful cat is probably to be playful and in simple terms often stressful on your older cat. they in all probability ought to get an prolonged, yet i would not placed lots desire in them being ideal acquaintances. Separate their nutrients bowls, placed one on one component of the room and the others on the opposing, slowly pass them closer at the same time via some inches each and every few days. I had this subject with my older woman cat. She nevertheless dislikes our youthful cats, yet she tolerates them, distinctly throughout feeding time.

That is normal for kittens. Just as long as he does not draw blood when he bites her, it's fine.

if one of the cats starts to hiss put one of them in a place where you can shut the door but there is enough space for the m to sniff each other under the door.

Yes, let me explain... your cats will learn to get allong...
Yes this is normal ... in most cases...

It's only normal if there's No blood, and no bad mouthing (like hissin' and stuff from one or the two of them). If everything seems normal then they're alright... look for deep scratches or teeth punctures if your worried by looking under their fur (it's not always obvious).

If bad things ARE happening ... then do what I did with two little raskles I once had...

OK bare with me (this MAY seem Crul ... but just bare with me at let me fully explain my self).

Ok, I once had two cats not so long ago, one was a kitten the other was about 1 year's old. Both had a previous stray background (picked them up as kittens, not by my FULL choice though)...
Anyways,
Sear the 1 year old was once a coward and didn't even know how to defend himself from the bully cats around my Apt complex, later he got tougher (he later learned from his long lost Dad some kewl moves).
Anyways,
my new little kitten Diva at first we though he was a she LOL.
(I don't like invading spaces just to see if someone's a girl or a boy, we figured he was a she from how he acted LOL).

Anyways,
They SOoooooooo DID not get along. And Diva was scared sh*tless & was getting spitefull!!!
Sear was being so mean, which was rude considering what he'd been through.

Anyways, since Diva was so little and fraile and since Sear would have a temper and pounce on Diva and had hurt Diva a couple of times I thought something needed to be done to clear things up since the usual wasn't GETTING through to Sear or DIVA!

Sear was reacting this way b/c he was scared of Diva, but Diva was just hyper and wanted to play, Sear took this the wrong way, and didn't trust Diva around him NO WAY!

So here's what I did...
I set up they're kitty litter and water and food ALL in one BIG room (the second bed room was empty).
I left them in there for about 3 days.
I would walk in there to check on them, they would be on opposite corners of the room LOL.

By the third day they were laying beside eachother...
I thought everything was fine... but it wasn't I think they came up with the plan to get out of the room LOL.

So later I had to do that again, for about 6 hours, then I did something unexpected
Muhahahahaha!

I caught both of them tied them up where they couldn't run away or scratch eachother...
BOTH OF THEM...
Then me and my BF took them to the bathroom and put them in the EMPTY tub (so even if they did get loose from the ties they one had a hard time crawling out of the tub, and 2nd couldn't go far in a closed Bath Room).

Anyways, after an hour we moved them closer and closer to each other...
till we layed Diva right beside Sear, he was grouling and atempting to hiss of course ... but after a while we untied Diva (not Sear) to show Sear that Diva wasn't out to get him LOL.
We sat there with the cats for another hour or so like that...

eventually we untied Sear too, left them in there for about 30 more minets just to make sure...

Then we took them out, placed them BACK in the room...

The next day they were sleeping on each other (how cute)...

since then they've had NO probs... other then when Sear wants to be left alone (which is understandable).

Hahahaha!
Sear learned better, that meany!

So see there's a solution...
it may seem crul to tie them up and do that tourturus deed but it's not like I tied them up tight, or even poured water on them or anything, I just tourtured them with the company of each other Muhahahahaha!

;-)

hope this helps
:)

They've only known each other for a day! Give them time. They'll get along.
