Well, no one actually 'worships' the Trinity. Believers, for the most part Catholics, acknowledge and revere the trinity. Christians worship God, in all of the incarnations. The Trinity, made up of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, are different aspects of that which we know as God. As Jesus is The Son, the Trinity did not exist until his ascension.

There is only one God which was taught in the early Christian Church and is taught in the New Jerusalem or New Church:
How many times have I typed this out!
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is like the soul, the body and the works in a single person. The Son of God refers to the Divine Human form or the visible truth of God or "the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us." You can see the spiritualizing in the Bible calling the Son of God the Word or the Truth.
If you can't interpret parables, you are going to have a hard time with the verses. Read some ebooks, get smarts today!

Excellent question - ponder this
If the Trinity is true, it is degrading to Jesus to say that he was never equal to God as part of a Godhead. But if the Trinity is false, it is degrading to Almighty God to call anyone his equal, and even worse to call Mary the "Mother of God." If the Trinity is false, it dishonors God to say, as noted in the book Catholicism: "Unless [people] keep this Faith whole and undefiled, without doubt [they] shall perish everlastingly. And the Catholic Faith is this: we worship one God in Trinity."
There are good reasons, then, why you should want to know the truth about the Trinity. But before examining its origin and its claim of truthfulness, it would be helpful to define this doctrine more specifically. What, exactly, is the Trinity? How do supporters of it explain it?

We started with God, then God sent the Holy Spirit to Mary, so she would conceive a Son. So we have God the Father, then the Holy Spirit descended upon the Disciples of Christ, Because Christ was ascending to Heaven to be with God the Father. The Holy Spirit came here to be a comforter to us. So now, we have God the Father, God the Holy Son, and God the Holy Spirit. It was also called baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is often equated with a Sham Rock. Separate parts, but still one.

Jesus did tell his followers that he is God.
--
Here is a brief synopsis of the Trinity:
There is only ONE God. He manifests himself in three personas/persons/manifestations for the purposes of the redemption of, and relationship with, human beings.
Contrary to what some people say, there is nothing irrational or illogical about this concept (of the Trinity).
For an explanation (and defense) of the doctrine of the Trinity, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/sect/doc/trinity.html
Cordially,
John

All these scriptures, and many more, clearly demonstrate the early Church had a perfect understanding that the Trinity exists:
John 5:18 "Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God."
John 10:30 "The Father and I are one."
John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
1 Cor. 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Niether Jesus nor his followers worshiped this trinity thing. The trinity is a false doctrine brought into the church in the 3rd century. It was never taught by the Apostles, nor can its precepts be found in the Bible.

The Trinity is present throughout the Bible, starting with the fourth word in Genesis.
In the beginning God .....
Strong's reference [0430] for the word God is "Elohiym". Plural.
Look it up.
Verse 26 says, And God said, Let us make man in our image...
Let US make man... look up the reference for that reference to God. Same thing. Elohiym.
Chapter 11 and the thower of Babel. The Lord says, again, Let us go down...
Let's move on to Isaiah 6:8.
"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Here God speaks of Himself using both the singular pronoun and the plural pronoun. Why? One God, three persons. Again, the doctrine of the Trinity.
There's lots more but that's two points worth... :>
