I thought immigrants came to the U.S. to start a new life and become a part of this country. How is that possible if you still feel allegiance to another country?

I think it was because of the whole world soccer thing... but, at the store they didn't have any with U.S. flags on it, and there was no SPACE made for it either (in case they sold out)... I saw one mom buy one for her son.. I'm guessing when august 7 comes around there are going to be some kids with it..

I walked out of my Wal-mart one day when I got to the counter and the card reader was defaulted to Spanish. I just left my stuff on the counter and told the lady to keep it.

I live in Canada. I was born in the United States. Should I immediately forsake my previous country because I'm living somewhere else? I don't think so. People have a right to be proud of their heritage and where they come from. You'll find people living all over the world who previously lived in the United States.

Your type of thinking is so...."Gangs of New York" it's not even funny. The nativists (people who were born in the United States or whose family happened to live in the US for 20 years longer) were filled with contempt for those who had just arrived, even if those people were from the very same countries their family had come from. It's this whole "I was here first" type mentality. It's bullshit.

The thing that people don't seem to understand is that historically, the United States was called "the melting pot" because people of all different ethnicities and cultures came to live there together.

I live in Toronto, Ontario. I live in a building with Russians, Pakistanis, Indians, Jamaicans, Bangladeshis...there's probably a representative from more countries than I can count. And we all get along. Some speak English. Some don't. But a smile of acceptance goes a long way toward breaking that communication barrier. I've lived in Montreal, where I could speak VERY little french. Did anyone come up to me and demand that I speak their language or get out of their province?

No, because those people had class.

Business knows where the money is, obviously if you want to sell you make the product available to the buyer, it does not take a lot to think that through, If you ever moved anywhere you must have had some allegiance to your old town, state, or school the same holds true for people that come to this country it takes time to assimilate and become part of the new country, most of us have had over 100 years to become Americans and some can claim more than 300. When your people came here did they remember the old country?

I don't believe in God any more because of a tragic motor scooter and gun accident that blew off my left foot and three fingers. I often wonder that if I saw Bozo naked would I think that chocolate milk cannot be sold in stores in a plastic container, or could it? That is a very deep and philosophical question that many great people like Coach Ditka and Jesus could not answer when they went before a grand jury for illegal dancing in Utah. Just because Van Halen does not play at your grammar school dance doesn't mean that you have missed out in life or did something wrong. You have to move past those issues and begin to address the fact that Men are from Mars and Women are from Saturn. I once fed a dead rat to a blind man in a tossed salad and he was not happy with the dressing I picked for him. Do you ever reflect on the meaning of extra large shrimp or why plumbers don't lay plumbs when bricklayers lay bricks? Dance freely and don't forget to wear sunscreen when you go to the bowling alley. The government and aliens want you to stop smoking and you are just falling into their plan and trap. Think about all the people in the phone book that cannot play the piano or shoot a cross bow. Why is that? I cannot explain this to anyone unless they open their mind to free thoughts and the acceptance that dogs can teach humans to create a clean burning combustible engine to put in our automobiles. I do generally wear only women's orange panties when I cut the lawn in the morning. I think that is the best answer that I can provide with this limited amount of time and research.

i'm quite stoic so i won't be in a position to truly make and describe thoughts realistically if i don't do somewhat analyze. i'm additionally not a competent speaker so writing verbal exchange at as quickly as without it sounding awkward is likewise a undertaking. different than that, plot holes, a number of that are obtrusive on the 1st reread. I plan to conquer the 1st by using performing some analyze, watch movies of ways human beings react while feeling a definite emotion. Then i take advantage of that for describing in my tale. the 2d, in many cases after a lot thinking (and rewriting), i could arise with something sensible sufficient. So i'm going to could desire to do some not straight forward artwork on that. the 0.33 I triumph over by using rereading my plot and persistently back till i won't be in a position to locate yet another plot hollow. Then I rewrite it. BQ: i don't probably positioned a lot emotion in it, greater usually in simple terms description. Like this: "He confirmed a sprint of sadness." or "Anger flashed in her eyes.". So this is especially in simple terms common description of thoughts. i don't probably describe them too properly intimately.

The things Wal Mart as a company has done-it is horrible. They buy thousands of products from all over. Example Their big buyers know how it is made by whom (many child labors were violated by people selling to Wal-mart-remember Kathy Lee incident) . The lists go on.
I don't find it strange or wrong to buy from others--unless someone or thing is being used and hurt to make it. If you can afford it and you want it-it is up to you-who care where it was made.

Look at the electronics section. A lot of that isn't made in the US. Check out the clothing section. Due to the World Cup, they've got shirts with different country names printed on them. Is that weird?

Oh geez. Ignorance I tell ya.

Moving to another country (US for example) doesnt mean you have to disown your previous country. You can have love for both. And for f***'s sake, i have clothes that say "germany" "australia" "canada" on them...get real.

You don't need to hate all countires in order to have allegiance to the U.S.

This question is just nonsense. You're all telling me you all have no clothes, or never seen clothes, with a different country on them like "Ireland" or "France" or "Italy" or whatever...I see shirts with names of other countries printed on them almost everywhere. There is no difference with Mexico.

And for the idiots that say "i wouldn't expect to go to X country and expect to hear english on the loudspeakers"...have you ever been to another country...they translate almost EVERYTHING into english (roadsigns, place names, etc...). Get over it.

Thanks for waking up - Walmart is part of the SPP, a full partner is breaking down competition after our constitution is superceded.

Bush wants to supercede the constitution and create a single state between Mexico, us, and Canada, that's why he will never sign an order to pretect our border or stand up for the Americans killed there by the Mexican army or other militants.
