This question is asked a lot and I once heard an answer that really seem to fit....
"How can you support me if you dont support what I am fighting for"
I think this fits seeing how what is there to support of the military if you dont believe what they are doing is right.
A lot of people say they dont support the war because they listen to all the liberals that are saying its all political.
There is more going on over there then people like to think. I have been over there a couple of times and to have young kids coming up to you and thanking you makes all the diffrent. I sometimes feel we get more support from the Iraqi and Afghan people then we do in the states.

That is so stupid. Would you tell a chef that he's a great cook, but you hate his food? No?!? Really?!? Because saying you support the troops, but not the war is the same thing. You're saying "Soldiers, you are dying and that makes me sad, but you died in vain..sucks for you". Shut the hell up, if you don't support the war, you don't support the troops. And if you can't stand behind the troops, stand in front of them! Hooah!

I absolutely do, without a doubt.
And I do not accept the "support the troops but not the war". That is such a throw back to the days of Dr. Spock and idiotic ideas of child rearing.
It's like telling little Johnny he's a good boy, but what he did was bad, after he breaks your great-great-great-grandmothers crystal dish.
It's BS and everyone knows it.

Do you work for the Pentagon in the Public Affairs Office? This sounds a lot like the "Text Messages to Nowhere Program."

Of course. Rhetorical question.
Can you 'splane a little more about your group? I was lured into a Scientology center by a pretty woman once....
Another time into the Mormons.....
Another into the world of strippers...
The evangelical right...
Militant environmentalists...
I've had a pretty woman lead me down just about every where.
You'd think I'd have learned by now, huh? I'm obviously "testosterone impaired."
Where do I sign?

I support a massive airlift to bring my fellow marines home from Iraq.
Then a massive airlift to find Osama Bin Laden and bring him back in chains.
Finally a small operation to bring George Bush in in chains and try him alongside Bin Laden for murder and other crimes.
--------------------
JonB : The difference is that the troops (me) aren't choosing the war. Many people supported me with "care packages" and letters from schoolchildren, but they didn't support the war that I didnt support either. But I signed so I went. Now im back and I still dont support it, but I do send packages to my guys.

Yes. They are willing to die for stupid people who would call them murderers, babykillers and rapists. It takes a big man to suffer such fools. Fortunately, only the very best America has to offer are priveleged to wear the uniform of the United States military. May God continue to bless America and our soldiers.
