I would estimate 1/4 lb. per person, and maybe some more for seconds, so 6 or 7 lbs. should work, depending on how much your friends like to eat and how many sides you're serving.

I use allrecipes.com and they convert the recipes for larger servings.

I looked for the first BBQ recipe add asked for 20 servings. They called for 10 pounds of meat.

about 15 pounds all depends on what kind of crowd you have. if you have a party crowd....stock up on a little more. Have fun with this one you never know how much a person will eat.
