Ok I know the way to solve the problem is to get rid of whatever is stressing me out but I just can't. And whenever I feel like crap I have absolutely NO motivation to do ANYTHING so I end up sitting on the couch in front of the t.v. making numerous trips to the kitchen and then I end up disgusted with myself about how I acted. Otherwise I am very healthy; I drink a lot of water, I watch what I eat, and I get a decent amount of exercise in. I think these binge sessions are what is keeping me from losing the stubborn 20 pounds that a lot of us have. This is a serious issue and I am looking only for serious answers, Thank you.

You have to quit the habit. Its a habit like anything else. Start running or exercisign when you are upset..and work even harder at it, focusing on what pisses you off the most. I used to run on my elliptical and think about everything bad that anyone ever said about me, and Id run harder and harder thinking all the way that I'd show them. And I did....100 lbs. slimmer...and they all wanted wanted to hang out with me or date me. But, I never forgot what they had done, although i forgave in my heart. You might need to seek a counselor that specializes in disorders so they know how to figure out what is activating your habit. It can really change your life. Plus, if or when you have children..they will witness you binging and they will be more prone to deal with problems in the same way. Its much like how a alcholic deals with problems..they try to drink them away. But, you never face the problem, therefore it always lingers until you do, compiling problem upon problem.

i had had an eating disorder when i was younger and ate everything, just constantly. it's a hard one to combat. i would suggest not being so hard on yourself, that only makes the problem worse. if you feel like crap after you have had a binge then just let it go. i found that when i decided to concentrate on something else other than my need to fill this void i had by stuffing myself with food, i took up hobbies, went out more, made my self look fabulous, even though i was over weight...and just had fun....my bad 'habit' slowly became less and less of a problem for me. and when i got to the point where i had become this slim girl and i looked hot (and i know i did lol)and felt great and lived life to the full. it's a mind thing...divert...and live.
good luck

cut out the carbohydrates.

you need friends to help you out of this. Going to the gym with friends will help you a lot.

Also have a big goal...like running the marathon. Anyone can do it with lots of training.

I lost 40lbs by committing to run a full marathon in a year. At the end, it was an incredible accomplishment.

You say you are healthy. But the level activity isn't. Do something amazing for once. Break out of the box you are in and do something incredible in your life.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

I have no answer.....I am the same as you. I'm not fat, I look good, but I need to lose 10 pounds and could do it if I simply ate only when I was hungry. I've tried all the methods mentioned above. Doesnt' work. You have to straighten out your head before it can work. Problem is I eat out of boredom, happiness AND depression......so that encompasses just about everything.

Instead of eating, try puking! It really helps you feel relieved, and hey! It'll get that 20 pounds off easily. :D
