This phrase is used for karate weapon form/kata. I understand the koshiki is a "traditional" word, but I'm not sure if there is a meaning for the complete phrase.

Without seeing it written, it is hard to say. My best guess is "the ancient way of doing things", or as you said, "the traditional way". If that makes sense, that's it. Japanese is a language of homonyms.
