This may sound a bit silly, but it will really work for you. Just take a few minutes every day, several times a day, and stand with your back against the wall. Your heels must touch the wall, along with your shoulders, and the back of your head. It will feel very strange at first and very hard to do, but if you keep at it you will not only look better, you will feel better and believe it or not..you will be breathing a lot better too.

forcing yourself to stand up straight isnt the key. Slouching is litterally your muscles pulling you down. If you have a strong lower back youll have good posture. To strengthen the lower back, do crunches. Sit ups hurt the back. Crunches will strenghten your lower back and give you better posture. It will also tone your belly. Do 25 crunches a day, 3 days a week. Youll have a flat stomach(not a sixpack per say) and good posture.

Your shoulders should be aligned with your hips. This will give you good posture. Walk as though an imaginary stick was going up your back and you couldn't bend your head forward or it would poke you. I sat against a flat surface with my feet on the floor.

You just have to tell yourself to do it, and everytime you find yourself slouching- just stand up tall again. Slowly, you ll just get used to it.
