You can't beat a picnic....and I don't mean the kind where you take the cooler filled with beer and fast food bought on the way...
I'm talking an old fashioned honest-to-goodness PICNIC...complete with basket with homemade goodies, a real blanket, real silverware and plates and a bottle of really good wine with REAL glasses to pour it in! It's very romantic, and takes you back to a time when things were simpler in life.....
So gather together a few simple dishes (baked chicken, a few rolls, some German potato salad, a couple of different cheeses, some grapes and apples) and a bottle of excellent rose` or red wine (you don't need to refrigerate either) and have some fun. Take a daily newspaper, a book of sonnets or poetry, or even a romance....and head for the hills, or a nearby lake or pond, or even a field with a shade tree close at hand....and enjoy the day!

Hi Andy. I am from the North West. Which part of the north west are you visiting or would like to go? Where are you both from? If you are both from the urban districts like the city centre or a town, maybe you should think of taking her to a nice place of interest in the countr if you both like the outdoors? Ask what interests her, get an idea or two and plan your day from there. I am from the north west but depending where you are going and what your interests are depends on whether I could suggest a good day out.

Have you ever thought about just setting you place up all romantic!Some throw overs,rose pettels,insence and candles!Set up a little picnic in the living room with some soft music(mayb her favourite aslong as it aint heavy metal lol)make her feel special!Feed her and give her champange!Then give her a long massage!Make the night all about her! N then she will return the favour!Remember you dont always have to go out for a good time!Use ur imagination!Good luck and have fun!

Agree with Cutie there! Why don't you take her to Keswick? Have your picnic by the lake then you can always buy her a little something at the Beatrix Potter shop!I'm sure she'd love that!

forget the north west go to lake winder mere its beautiful boats you can hire for you an your girl to have a nice picnic on one of the isles there,you have to drive them though lol ,swans everywere an ducks she will love it i promise,and i live in liverpool lol,if you go have a great day xx
