Did you ever see that episode with the all-powerful boy, Anthony Fremont, who could read people's minds and then if they didn't like him he would throw them to die in the cornfield?

Is God like that? He reads our minds and if we don't love Him He throws us into Hell to suffer for eternity. No wonder why everyone wanted to sneak up on the boy and kill him. Everybody was so afraid of the boy that all the kids tried to avoid Him.

Great episode! Truly scary. I think Anthony looks a lot more like
G W Bush than he looks like god. That's scary.

No, God doesn't punish people for not loving Him, per se. God punishes men and women for not honoring Him. If He, being worthy of all honor and glory, is ignored by the very beings He created, then it is evil. If He is hated by those same beings, mocked, and scoffed at, then that is evil. If those same beings (human) love themselves so much as to exalt themselves above all things as the most important things in the universe, then that is evil. Mankind's sin sends them to Hell. We deserve nothing less.

God loves us, and provides us the option of living with him for ever in Heaven.

We choose Hell by our actions, and our life style.

Cordially,
John
