I remember that we crossed some railroad tracks near an HEB store. Do not remember name of street or address.

If you are looking for the Shrine of San Judas Tadeo in San Juan, Texas, it is not in the City of San Juan. It is on Ironwood St. in Pharr, TX. The exact address is:

505 S. Ironwood
Pharr, TX.

From the City of Pharr take Express way 83 to "I" Road; exit south on "I" Rd. and go past Business 83 for about two blocks. At Kelly turn west and then turn left (south) on Ironwood. It is about a block and a half on the left. You'll recognize the landmarks you mentioned, the RR tracks and the HEB store.

That Shrine is very popular and the locals refer to it as "San Juditas." St. Jude Tadeo is the patron saint of 'lost causes.'

The Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle is actually in the City of San Juan and may be why you thought San Juditas was there as well. The Basilica can be seen from Express way 83.

I hope that helped.
