what part of the Bible do you base your belief on?
(verse/s , etc.)

To be clear on the question.
I believe in the Rapture before the Tribulation. I know the word is not mentioned in the BIBLE> there are obviously verses in the BIBLE that people base their views on. otherwise it would not be a Biblically sound concept.

Absolutely, the church will be 'raptured' (caught up) at Christ's second coming, but that doesn't mean that believers will be taken before the great tribulation and end of the world (the 'Left Behind' scenario).

Until the nineteenth century, all Christians agreed that the rapture—though it was not called that at the time—would occur immediately before the Second Coming, at the close of the period of persecution. This position is today called the "post-tribulational" view because it says the rapture will come after the tribulation.

But in the 1800s, some began to claim that the rapture would occur before the period of persecution. This position, now known as the "pre-tribulational" view, also was embraced by John Nelson Darby, an early leader of a Fundamentalist movement that became known as Dispensationalism. Darby’s pre-tribulational view of the rapture was then picked up by a man named C.I. Scofield, who taught the view in the footnotes of his Scofield Reference Bible, which was widely distributed in England and America. Many Protestants who read the Scofield Reference Bible uncritically accepted what its footnotes said and adopted the pre-tribulational view, even though no Christian had heard of it in the previous 1800 years of Church history.

Problems with the pre-tribulational view are highlighted by Baptist (and premillennial) theologian Dale Moody, who wrote: "Belief in a pre-tribulational rapture . . . contradicts all three chapters in the New Testament that mention the tribulation and the rapture together (Mark 13:24–27; Matt. 24:26–31; 2 Thess. 2:1–12). . . . The theory is so biblically bankrupt that the usual defense is made using three passages that do not even mention a tribulation (John 14:3; 1 Thess. 4:17; 1 Cor. 15:52). These are important passages, but they have not had one word to say about a pre-tribulational rapture. The score is 3 to 0, three passages for a post-tribulational rapture and three that say nothing on the subject.
. . . Pre-tribulationism is biblically bankrupt and does not know it" (The Word of Truth, 556–7).

To support the Pre-tribulation view, Christ's second coming would be his third coming, which is completely unbiblical.

I believe there will be a rapture, but not before the trib. Nowhere in the bible does it say anything about it being before the trib, it says before the final wrath, which is at the conclusion of the trib. Because Christ had said He'd stay with us till the end does not mean we won't suffer the trib, which is why most people think it will be a pre-trib rapture. Staying with us is one thing, but He did not say we wouldn't suffer. His own diciples all suffered greatly when they were killed, why do we think we deserve better? If you read Revelation, its actually all in order, and the rapture doesn't come into play until right before the final wrath.

Think about it, Christ would have to come 3 times, not 2, which isn't biblical, and who would they be beheading in the trib as christians if we all got raptured away? It's not only non-biblical, its nothing more than wishful thinking. I wish it would be pre-trib, think how devasted all those pre-tribbers are gonna be when the trib comes and they're all still here?

Yes, I Thes.4:14-16; I Cor. 15:51-54; John 14:2 & 3. There are many other subtle references to it. The main question to ask those who do not accept the pre-trib rapture is, What theological reason can they give for Believers to go through the tribulation, which is punishment and judgement meant for an unbelieving world?

Revelation, as some point out, has the answer just not the ones given. Revelation chapter one verse 7" Behold He, is coming with clouds and EVERY eye will see HIm, even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of HIm. Even so AMEN. No rapture. There are more texts. Study them.

This is how i see it: In 2nd thes ch 2 speaks of our gathering..to me that's the rapture. Then it says Antichrist, man of sin will com first, that's the great tribulation. So, trib first, then rapture.

Also: Rev 20:3-5; Saints from the great trib went up in the 1st Resurrection, so again, trib 1st then rapture.
That coincides with Jesus´s words that, ´´After the trib.. of those days..then you (YOU) shall see the sign of the Son..coming. So think about it and God will give you light!!!

Rapture of the Church?
NO it is not of the CHURCH...
IT is made up BY the churches but not OF the Churches!
I do not base my life on any part of the Bible!
That book is the most mixed up book ever published.
It is misunderstood by too many people over and over again.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18: "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethern, about those who are asleep (dead), so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep (died) in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of an archangel and with the trumphet of God and the DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST. THEN WE WHO ARE ALIVE WILL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR AND SO WE SHALL ALWAYS BE WITH THE LORD. Comfort each other with these words.

The rapture of catching up is the great hope of the Christian. Some denominations try to deny this truth but the above scripture is pretty plain and how they can deny it is beyond me.

though the bible itself never uses the term "rapture" many people believe that believers will be caught up into the sky---in a moment and the twinkling of an eye. I am one of those. 1 Corinthians 15:51

And skeptics who may think that our definition is wrong---need to answer one question for me. What is "closure" and when does it happen?

no, the rapture is not mentiond in the bible, christian simppy latched on to this idea because they do believe in the second coming of christ (mentioned in revelations) but choose not to believe they will have to stick around for the plagues and whatnot also mentioned. Amazing how christians can simply believe away what ever they choose.....
