I think it depends on whether a person is dogmatic, or spiritual and accepting as to what the religion they follow declares about their religions.
Dogmatic people only following the fact in some text as taught, without having considered the deeper meaning, are definitely left brained.
Creatively spiritual people - people who are able to see the meaning in things and connect the dots from dogma to a greater power are right brained usually.
But, maybe true religion needs both -
because, it needs a source to well up and not just be dictated, but, it needs logic to explain WHY a divine force, say, might just be in a mushroom too. What was the image again?
Any philosopher could REASON (a left brain process) that because of the fact that the entity of god/goddess could only understand what he/she already was - that, therefore, god/goddess was also a mushroom, as well as man, woman.
It takes the artist of whatever type/genre/media to understand and FEEL that presence.
A spark of divinity comes from where? And goes to what?
I think it takes the whole brain.

Many atheists and agnostics are friends and infrequently kinfolk individuals to believers. Many atheists and agnostics come from households the position faith is or changed into practiced. pretty a lot each man or woman interior the political section is a believer. maximum professional athletes are believers. i'm certain there are countless people interior the leisure field who're believers. and many believers interior the established public eye are vocal about stated perception. And even as a activities crew wins a championship, you could relax certain that someone on the crew will be thanking Jesus. non secular people and believers are everywhere, so it is frustrating to push aside them, as you recommend. If nonbelievers have a purpose, it is probably to depart this international a extra proper position than they stumbled on it. you do not favor to worship an invisible guy interior the sky to have a purpose or meaning in existence. And if we are bitter and indignant, it is on the intrusion of your non secular beliefs and inconsistent morals into our lives. And one may be non secular without being non secular.

It does not have anything to do with brain. It has everything to do with spirit. By using the word brain to identify something of a spiritual nature, you are actually trying to bring (as you put it) "True religion" into a more logical sense of understanding, when in fact, those spiritual matters has nothing to do with "Logic" at all.
Is it logical to believe in something one can not see? Is it logic that a person should love some one [that their insides] hate?
NO...... It's because, the spiritual matters has nothing to do with logic, education or brain. But in fact it has everything to do with "Soul and Spirit".
Soul is the spirit of man which is in him <(1Cor. 2:11).... that yearns after the things of man, but the things of God, man does not understand.....but the understanding of God comes only from the spirit of God.
So my answer to your question would be...... NONE OF THE ABOVE. It does not take brain to worship God in "The true religion" way, it takes Spirit which only God can give you.
May God bless all those who Love the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Whole brained, of course.
Right brain for understanding the theology.
Left brain for experiencing the spirituality.
Unfortunately, I'm too right-brained. But I'm working on it.

I've got to go with crazyhumans above.
religion tends to breed conformity and conformity tends to lack creativity or reason.
faith is a matter of the heart not the brain
