Absolutely! Note the above question does not state the FIRST date, however, once it proceeds beyond that and she feels there is a connection, yes, she should be forth coming. I dated a woman for 6 months and absolutely ADORED her but her mood swings were unbelievable. I Finely had to call it quits after 6 months for BOTH of our sakes. She informed me a month later, she was clinically diagnosed as bipolar but never mentioned it because she thought at the time I would dump her. :( Had I known, I would have been properly equipped to understand and better deal with her erratic mood swings. I also would have been equipped with the knowledge that she had decided 4 months before to simply stop taking her meds before she met me. True story.

yes, I would be understanding. clinical depression isn't a death sentence. Nor is it a bad thing. A person who is understanding, could be the best medicine that would be much needed. It just could turn that depressed person around and not need the meds anymore and put a bright point in that persons life.

I probably would not start a long term relationship with such a girl if I was aware of the medication. I, like many others, am not clinically trained to assist her in the event she had a medical emergency. I do NOT think of her as crazy and while I could be understanding I would strongly question my own motives in such a relationship.

I've been taking Effexor for almost ten years. It saved my life.People who take issue with you doing what's best for your life and health are best avoided. There is no characterizing what "guys" think, it depends on the individual, and of course that means you will run into people of great character, and those with little or none. Lastly, an understanding person will be understanding of this, and a jerk won't. Avoid the jerks!

It depends on just how extensive her depression is. Remember if you should continue to date, fall in love, get married and have children, there are several studies that suggest the tendency towards depression can be inherited.

I certainly have in the previous, and that i might back. I certainly have been combating medical melancholy considering my early youngsters, so I understand the plight. Having melancholy isn't a character flaw, it is an ailment, basically like numerous different ailment. i does not unload a guy for having extreme blood stress, diabetes, or bronchial asthma, and in my eyes melancholy is not any distinctive in that regard. the clarification I split with my final ex wasn't via fact of his melancholy - it became into via fact he became into utilizing it as component of a complicated cyber web of excuses for why he could be allowed to waste his life away on drugs and alcohol. it is not what life components, it is the way you manage it. i needed very plenty for him to get greater effective (and nevertheless do), yet i could no longer save subjecting myself to the fallout of his undesirable judgements (going to reformatory, almost overdosing, etc.) It became into too painful for me to stand via and watch him self-destruct and not take any of the help being given to him. If there's a woman who has dumped you or does not date you via fact she found out you have melancholy, then she is rather no longer a woman well worth courting in any respect.

A good guy who really cares about you would be understanding of that. If that is what you are dealing with in your life, as long as the girl is getting help for her problem he would have to accept her as she is, otherwise you don't need him anyways. Don't worry.
