In India, i know that they are banning it or delaying it in some places. Doesn't that just make people curious as to it actually being true? If the catholic church was like go watch it, its an entertainer, but its not true then it goes to show that there is nothing to hide and it is just fiction. Instead they ban it and it makes you believe it when and if you see it. I really liked the book and though it was highly believable, i know that it is fiction even though i am not catholic. If the catholics themselves believe it then sorry to say, but they don't seem to know very much about their own religion. It is a good movie, so go check it out and see it with an open mind.

It doesn't matter that ti's fiction. It's still attacking peoples' religion. It would be like if there were a fictional movie about black people being half-ape and whites being fully human. Even though it would be fiction, it would still be banned because it's attacking blacks. You see?

The Catholic church can't ban anything. It can only suggest that something is inappropriate. A country, like India, can ban something because it is offensive to other people's feelings or religion, which The Da Vince Code may be for some Christians.

The Catholic Church feels it is disrespectful. I read the book but the movie was out because I had hip surgery and couldn't sit through the movie.

In India, the peope are already confused even with their own religion, so I think the officials in India figure, "Why make it any worse?"
