I shot a bunch of pictures on a vacation trip. Unfortunately some of them are blurred, even though they appeared fine on the display. Is there any way i could enhance their quality? I can't reshoot them, since i'm back home now.

(Sorry, but i can't find a picture section in here. If anyone knows where it is, please point me to the category.)

it was an Argus DC3550 digital camera. It was on low-quality mode, but that did not cause the blurring; i got lots of crystal clear pictures also. I just need to correct the blurring with the pictures i already have.

i took like 800 pictures on a 2-week trip, so 1 disposable camera wouldn't cut it.

Have you manipulaed the pictures already? what kind of camera do you have>

1) If you have already cropped or resized the pictures, that is why it is blurred. If you have not, then it may be something wrong with your batteries being too low, or the lens could be dirty (yes that actually can happen, at least I was told this), or you need to simply adjust resolution.

2) I ask what kind of camera because my husband's Sony did that and it turned out it was a factory error and he had to send it back in to get fixed.

I hope this helps

Why don't you place it in photography? You have professionals checking the section pretty regular. I usually just artsify the photos that come out blurred. Like make it color book or do something of your own variety. Have fun with it and change it when it pleases you. I am getting ready to get a digital that is anti shake. I have the same problem with blurred photos but I don't think its the camera. I think it's me. Next time, you should also go back to analog. Just buy one of those cheap little 2 for $8 disposable flash cameras and have a company like Sams give you only a digital CD. That's about $3. So you have spent $7 on something very nice.

If you have the negatives you could take them to a better place and see if they could do anything with them. The automated photo places are not as good. You would have to pay more. I had some scientific photos I wanted to have really good resolution on. I took them to a specialty photo shop to have them hand developed because I did not want any distortion. I was photographing dishes with bacteria colonies. Go to a photo shop and have them done in a dark room by hand. If they are sentimental they are worth it. They might not charge you if they are horrible because they will not be happy with them. Other than that I do not know. If they are digital you may have more options. Try checking with a friend to see if they have photo shop and messing with them at home or try returning them to whoever printed them. They usualy do not charge for horrible prints. If it was mail order mail them back if it was a store take them back. Just do not give them the film or negatives. You need those you only have one set if it was done that way. If you have it on disc or card keep that.

Unfortunately, as we say in the graphics business, "you can't polish a turd." You need a better camera.

Or you can bring them into PhotoShop and do an unsharp mask.

There are photo programs that will let you adjust the picture so it is not as blurry as it once was. Actually, i am pretty sure that every one has that quality.
