Cells "C" and "D" are merged. I want to multiply that cell, which highlights as 2 cells, by cell "E" and get the answer in cell "F".

Whenever you merge cells, the top-left-most cell is the address of the group of cells that you merged.

Example:
1) Cells A1, A2, A3, A4 Merged. A1 is address.
2) Cells A1, B1, C1, D1 Merged, A1 is address.
3) Cells A1, A2, B1, B2 Merged, A1 is address.

Using this knowledge, then cells C & D you described would be addressed as C. (Assuming same row.
